Urban Gravesham has obtained secret images of the monstrous tower
proposed for Gravesend’s Heritage Quarter. Urban
Gravesham’s request for Information was ignored by the Council
for months - until the Civic Society threatened to take the Council to
the Information Commissioner - the government’s body responsible
for policing the Freedom of Information Act.
The images, from the Town Pier, from St George’s Church, and from
the Market Square are truly frightening. They reveal the very large
scale of all the new development - not just the tower, and demonstrate
the vast slab-like scale of the 32 storey tower block.)
